Reflecting on the male imposition and gaze, Focal Point speaks on the concept of being viewed instead of seen. The lack of consent in being viewed as an object, or better yet something to conquer, is astounding…and yet it is excused. We as women exist in a world where men are encouraged to seek out and take pride in obtaining pleasure wherever that may present itself, regardless of the thoughts of those standing in the way.
